The NYC Marathon Performance Project

An 18-week, high-touch coaching experience for runners chasing their strongest NYC Marathon yet.

How It Works:

  1. Submit your application (June 14 until spots filled).

  2. Applications are reviewed to ensure fit.

  3. Accepted athletes receive onboarding details.

  4. We begin training 16 weeks out!

What’s Included:

  • A personalized run program built around your current fitness, experience, schedule and NYC Marathon goals.

  • Each athlete receives sponsored fueling support including:

    • 4 boxes of gels

    • Recovery shake mix

    • Cherry gummy multipack

    • Energy drink mix

    • Electrolyte tubes

  • Training and race fueling guidance tailored specifically to you, because fueling is performance.

  • Shakeout run, race weekend guidance and coaching support leading into race day.

  • Custom strength programming designed to support performance, reduce injury risk and keep you running strong. Bike, elliptical, stairmaster or recovery work programmed strategically when needed.

  • Confidence-building strategies, pacing plans, race-day preparation and mental tools to help you execute your best race.

  • Connect, learn, ask questions and prepare alongside a small cohort of runners. Plus, individual dedicated support to troubleshoot training, build confidence and personalize your approach.

Limited to 6 Athletes

This is intentionally small so every athlete receives personalized coaching and direct access.

Requirements: must provide proof of NYC Marathon registration.

Char is a marathon coach and endurance athlete who has run 8 marathons and coached 100+ athletes ranging from first-time finishers to runners chasing major PRs and breakthrough performances. Her athletes have achieved marathon PRs, Boston qualifying standards, stronger finishes, and healthier, more confident training cycles through a balanced approach to performance. Known for an encouraging and personalized coaching style, Char believes the best results happen when runners feel challenged, supported, and confident in the process.

  • No, this is for committed runners who want a smarter, more supported NYC marathon build. The biggest requirement is coachability, commitment and willingness to put in the work.

  • Unlimited! This is a high-touch coaching experience and you can expect responses from me within 24 hours on VDOT. Includes: check-ins, group coaching calls, individual support calls, race strategy and in-person race weekend support.

    My goal is for you to feel supported, confident and never like you’re navigating training alone.

  • This project combines running, strength, mobility, fueling, recovery, mindset and race execution into one system - built specifically for your NYC marathon performance.

  • Yes. Payment plans are available to make the program more accessible. Accepted athletes will receive payment options upon acceptance into the program.

  • This experience is intentionally kept small to ensure every athlete receives a high level of personalization, coaching access and group support. Think of this as your team to NYC!
